As a keynote speaker, performer, coach, composer, entrepreneur, and community builder, she has spent her career helping others communicate with greater confidence, authenticity, and purpose.
Whether she's standing on stage, leading a workshop, coaching a client, or directing a performance, Cassandra believes every person has a voice that deserves to be heard. Her work is rooted in a simple conviction: when people learn to trust themselves and communicate with clarity, they create deeper connections, stronger leadership, and greater impact.
Through her signature Your Confident Voice™ framework, Cassandra helps speakers, leaders, entrepreneurs, and artists overcome self-doubt, strengthen their presence, and communicate with confidence when it matters most. Her keynotes, workshops, coaching, and emcee services combine practical strategies with warmth, encouragement, and decades of real-world experience, empowering people to step forward with confidence and leave a lasting impression.
Why I do this work
I believe every person has something valuable to say. Too often fear, self-doubt, or uncertainty keeps us from sharing our ideas, telling our stories, or stepping into opportunities that could change our lives.
Whether I'm coaching a professional before a keynote, directing a production, performing on stage, or leading a workshop, my mission is the same: to help people communicate with confidence, authenticity, and heart. Because when you find and trust your confident voice, everything changes.
Producer & Entrepreneur
For more than three decades, Cassandra has built businesses, produced performances, and created programs that bring people together. She founded A Place to Shine Music, where she built a successful career as a voice coach, performer, producer, and educator, creating concert events, educational programs, and creative experiences before expanding her work into speaking, leadership development, and confidence coaching.
She is also the founder of the Woodstock Community Choir, which grew into an independent nonprofit organization and continues to enrich the community today. Her entrepreneurial leadership and commitment to the arts earned her the Woodstock Chamber of Commerce Entrepreneur of the Year award in 2019 and recognition as a 2025 Shaw Media Women of Distinction Honoree.
Performer & Artist

A lifelong performer, Cassandra has appeared throughout the Midwest as a vocalist, songwriter, and concert artist. She has toured extensively as both a classical singer and the lead vocalist for several bands, writing and performing original music while connecting with audiences across the region.
Career highlights include performing with the Grant Park Symphony Chorus, singing the National Anthem for the Chicago Bulls during the Michael Jordan championship era, releasing original music on major streaming platforms, and creating concerts and theatrical productions that inspire audiences of all ages. Whether performing on stage or writing music, Cassandra believes in the power of authentic storytelling to move, connect, and inspire.
Community Builder
Building community has always been at the heart of Cassandra's work. She believes that people thrive when they feel seen, valued, and connected. Whether creating choirs, producing concerts, coaching leaders, or mentoring artists, she is passionate about creating spaces where people discover confidence, purpose, and belonging.
Giving Back
Cassandra has supported numerous nonprofit organizations through original music, performances, fundraising events, and volunteer leadership. She has served on the Woodstock Arts Commission, the Woodstock Opera House Advisory Commission, and numerous community initiatives dedicated to strengthening the arts.
